Final Steps and Decisions
You have choices....time to make decisions! Do not ask..."What do I do now?"
1. Think about what you would like your final outcome to look like. White silhouette on a black background (must cut out your silhouette), white silhouette on white background (leave on original drawing paper), shaded silhouette with pencil, filled in silhouette with sharpie marker
2. Now, begin to rearrange your hands around your silhouette and throughout the composition. Think VERTICAL, HORIZONTAL, DIAGONAL, CIRCULAR compositions. Take photos of each arrangement until you come up with a decision about how you want your composition to look.
3. While you arrange your composition you must think about your TYPOGRAPHY for your word. All text must be drawn, should not be cut out unless discussed with teacher.
4. Show and discuss with teacher your final design for approval. Do not ask
5. We will discuss gluing as needed with rubber cement or glue sticks depending on student's needs.
6. Think creatively, outside of the box, take chances, and have fun!
MUST HAVES:
1. a sharpie element
2. a shaded element with pencil using value gradations which demonstrates your knowledge of shading
3. hands
4. an overlapping and interesting composition
5. good gluing skills (no messy glue stains/marks)
